As a Mother I instilled this in my children. They are the best there is, the best there was and the best that ever will be. I taught them that NO ONE on this Earth is any better than they are.
Instilling Self Confidence is VITAL in personal social development. You need to have self confidence in order to achieve your full potential. You need to love yourself enough to assert yourself in a manner that will be of benefit to you.
Some one told me that I was performing an injustice to my children by praising them in this manner. I didn't listen, I continued to praise them and build them up. My daughter is on her way to becoming a very successful professional in her field of study, and my oldest son does well in his job also.
Love is vital to nurturing. Instilling Self Love is the key to success as a human being.
If no one ever told you that you were the best, than you need to do that for yourself. Tell yourself that YOU are the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be, and believe it, because you are.
Sometimes parenting yourself, finding that inner child that needs a boost is the only way to overcome obstacles.
Accept yourself for who you are at your particular stage in emotional maturity. You may have work to do, we all do, but you will shine through acceptance.
